“SPORT MOVIES & TV - MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST”

“SPORT MOVIES & TV 2010 - 28^th MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST”, World-wide Final of the 14 stages of the International Circuit of “World FICTS Challenge (WFC)” that carried out in the 5 Continents: Gdynia (Poland), Barcelona (Spain), Liberec (Czech Rep.), Belgrade (Serbia), Kirgizia (Kirgizstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Mumbai (India), Kampala (Uganda), Beijing (China), Tehran (Iran), Caserta (Italy), Lipetsk (Russia), Da Nang City (Vietnam), Kazan (Russia).

The Festival, dedicated to the cinema and sport television, has organized by the FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, presided by the Prof. Franco Ascani, joined with 103 Countries) recognized by IOC - International Olympic Committee, will taken place from October 28^th to November 2^nd 2010 to Milano (Italy).

The location that will host the event are: the “Pirelli Skyscraper” will accommodate the “Opening Ceremony”, the sixteenth-century building Palazzo Giureconsulti (Piazza Mercanti, 2), will be the “core business”, while Palazzo Marino (Piazza Scala, 2 just in front of the famous theatre) will host the “Awards Ceremony” and the delivery of the “Guirlande d’Honneur”, to the winners of “Sport Movies & Tv”.

During the event  there will be delivered the “Excellence Guirlande d’Honneur” to sport, tv, cinema and journalism personalities whom “played a significant role in the promotion of sports images as well as the cultural and ethical values of sports”. In the past edition of “Sport Movies & Tv” have been awarded among the other Leni Riefensthal, Pelè, Marcello Lippi, Oscar Pistorius, Yelena Isinbayeva, Josefa Idem, Ennio Morricone, Bud Greenspan, Martin Scorsese, Robert Redford, Alberto Sordi, Bud Spencer, Philippe Leroy, HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, Sergey Bubka, Yuri Chechi...continue.

An international showcase for media, television broadcastings, world-wide Networks, radio, houses of production, major producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees and Sports Federations, sport champions, advertising and integrated communication agencies that will illustrate the universe of sport television through documentaries, spot, reportages, fictions, cartoons in one of the 6 competitive Sections: 1) Olympic Values, 2) Documentary, 3) Tv Shows and New Technologies, 4) Sport & Society, 5) Movies, 6) Sport Adverts. The news of this year is the Section “Movies & Tv Short with free topic” .

The world-wide event is articulated in 180 Projections, 7 Meeting, 8 Encounters, 3 Workshops, 2 Exhibitions, 9 Side Events, 4 Press Conferences, 30 Awards and the presence of 230 sports journalist. 1000 champions on the screen for 6 days, 7 points of projection in the same time with a maxi-screen in Piazza Duomo and in the screen of the tube station. For the edition 2010 of “Sport Movies & Tv” is in programme a role as protagonist for the “FIFA World CUP South Africa” with the presence of prestigious guests of soccer and with meetings and encounters. The deadline only for the productions of this international competition has been postponed.
